Siena, Florence are reachable within an hour drive, as well as the Mediterranean
sea. Horse riding and quad driving are also close.
On demand excursions to Florence, Volterra, Siena, the Tarotgarden of Niki
de Saint Phalle, etc. can be organized.
How to reach Podere I Gessi:
From Pisa airport it is about a two hour drive.
Transavia flies on a daily basis from Amsterdam to Pisa.
Ryanair, flies from Eindhoven to Pisa. (much cheaper)
Public transport outside the big cities is not very reliable therefore I’d
recommand to rent a car, if you are not using yours.
Suggestions:
Alabaster, marble and the tools to work with, are much cheaper
in Italy than outside. If you come by your own car you can buy some tools and
stones to take back home with you, saving money of course.
